    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend social work to any individual with a passion for wanting better for others that are in tough situations. Save a life! Be the change!

    Course highlights:

I am actually enrolling in this college for spring of 2018, hopefully sooner. I will be a transfer student so I can't tell you about the social work course just yet but I'm sure it's great.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you know all about what's expected during your course, plan ahead and make sure you set aside enough time to complete the course with the highest gpa you desire.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives an overview of what social work is, and truly helps you understand some of the concepts. I think it is important because it helps decide whether this is the path an individual wants to take with their career. The volunteering section of the class was also helpful, and important because you are able to chose a volunteering opportunity that is similar to the type of social work or age group you would like to focus on when you are a social worker.

    Course highlights:

My highlight was probably the book, "See the poverty: Be the Difference" because it truly opened my eyes to some concepts related to generational poverty, and how a family continues to stay in the cycle of poverty.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely rent the book and do the assignments. If you do not do the volunteer assignment and the essay then your grade will be affected. If you are undecided about social work, this class will give you a helpful overview. Meet some of your classmates, they will be helpful study partners. Also, DO the study guides on your own. Studying with other people is helpful, but if you do them on your own then you will learn the concepts much better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class if you are close minded and not open to many new concepts and ideas about people and the world around you.

    Course highlights:

I want to be a Social Worker, and through this class and the volunteer hours required, I definitely feel as though social work is right for me. We went in depth about poverty, mental illness, therapy, and many other concepts to learn which direction in social work is right for you.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise you to actually go to class. There are a lot of points that are from attendance and participation. Also, study and try to understand the underlying meaning behind concepts and ideas.
