    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It teaches you about technology in the real world and gives you an introduction to every office in Microsoft Office 2013. I did not know anything about Excel or Access before taking this course and with the knowledge I now have I know that it will help me very much in the technological future of business.

    Course highlights:

The most valuable unit for me was the Excel and Access unit. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would need to learn about these offices. But as I came to find out, they are very valuable tools in the business world as well as the real world. I also learned a lot about Word and Power Point, more than I even thought was possible with these tools. Prof. Wagner also gave us weekly updates on technology in the world and that really put things into perspective for me. Technology is advancing, and its advancing fast. I recommend this course to people who do not want to miss out on these advancements.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to take a lot of notes for homework. Its not that bad, but if you wait until the last minute it can be a little stressful and time consuming. If you do the work and the readings, you should have no problem getting an A in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because it helps you learn all of Microsofts applications; Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint. You do take Cornell notes every week for this class because it focuses on computer systems and the internet. In addition, you will also have to do SAM projects for every application so you can enhance your Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint skills. It is a beneficial class to take if you are going to use Microsoft very often in the future.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights are: taking Cornell notes every week and having a quiz for each set of notes; some SAM projects based on each Microsoft application and other application assignments. Overall, you get guidance from the tech students on all the projects so you can learn more. There are also capstone projects after you finish all the SAM projects, which technically counts as your midterm grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise you to only write down key terms with their definitions, dates, and people mentioned in the notes you take because you do have to reach 15 pages of notes every week. I would also advise that you take your time with the SAM projects and always ask for help because you do have 5 tries for the SAM projects, but only one on the capstone.
