Course Overview:
The condensed summer course was perfect for me. Roger Tenore is a great teacher who is willing to go the extra mile to help his students.
Course highlights:
Learning to understand statistical analysis and data was the focus of the course. It sounded daunting, but was do-able even for the non-math majors in the class. I learned to read the data and understand how it was calculated.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Do the homework and the reading and stay on top of it.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because the instructor is very helpful in understanding complicated formulas and terms
Course highlights:
I learned how to perform hypothesis tests given a certain population characteristic. The highlight was being able to look at a problem, and design a test based on the given values. At the beginning of the course, I had absolutely no idea how to perform this task.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
You need to dedicate a large amount of time to reading course material, and doing problems from the book. You also need to stay on task and turn in assignments early, if possible, so that you can get instructor feedback.
