    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accounting is the language of business. No matter where you end up in your career, there will be an accounting function. Understanding the language of accounting will set you apart from your peers in the hiring process and beyond. Dr. Kirch is a fantastic teacher. You will not regret taking this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course like heavily in the professor's outstanding teaching abilities. Dr. Kirch is a tough professor but he has had, by far, one of the most profound effects on me as a student. Kirch goes beyond teaching the basics of accounting and expands the minds of his students with valuable life and professional lessons. I personally feel like a more well-rounded individual having taken his course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Accounting is as hard as you make it. If you do not want to take the time that is necessary to do well in this course, it will be difficult. Accounting is not a difficult concept to grasp but as Dr. Kirch says, "If you don't spend time with it every day, you'll be dead in the water."

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You will learn a lot about real life experiences and what to do in real life situations. For example, buying a car or a house.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning how to work with car salesmen and how to get interest rates down while still maintaining a professional relationship with them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them to take it no matter your degree because at some point in your life you will always need to make investment decisions and this class gives you detailed instructions on how to do that effectively.
