    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'd probably recommend this class because it focuses on business and the math that is behind business.

    Course highlights:

I learned about bank account interest and the best ways to earn interest.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

ALWAYS BE STUDYING. This class is in no way easy.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would say that those who wish to take this course understand that it takes time. For this course, you may need a tutor and you may need more time than you think for the course work. It is something you need to prepare yourself for. The subject can be tricky at times and letting yourself fall behind is not smart.

    Course highlights:

Overall, this course taught me a various of topics. One thing I can say that I really took away was derivatives. I feel as if the first day I was taught derivatives and everything we did after built upon that.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you have to be realistic about how you learn. After the first few classes, you might need to invest in a tutor or find someone in the class that can help you succeed.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Calculus is a difficult concept to grasp for most people. However, the concept is easier to grasp when you have a caring professor. That is why, I would highly recommend this course. Laura went above and beyond to help her students understand calculus. It was apparent that she cared for the students and had their best interests at heart.

    Course highlights:

The course had a couple of highlights. Office hours were very convenient for students. Laura was also, very helpful during those office hours. Group class assignments were also a highlight. A couple of days before an exam, Laura would create a mock test and allow students to work in small groups to complete the assignment. The assignment was worth a lot of points so not only did you get to see an early version of the test but you could also increase your grade. Furthermore, I learned a lot in the course. However, one of the most important things I learned was discipline. I failed my first exam in her course because I did not attempt to study. I thought college would be similar high school however, I was wrong. After I failed the first test, I started to attend office hours and study daily in order to understand the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Start off how you want too finish. No student can afford to get off to a bad start in this course. Also, if Laura sees that you are trying really hard then sometimes she will cut you some slack. However, nothing gets her more upset than when someones displays a lack of effort. Work hard and you will reap the benefits.
