    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Accounting is a course that will teach you lifelong skills that will save you thousands of dollars. Life skills are the necessities for undergraduate students for the future. Along with lifelong skills, this course provides the fundamental base for your financial assets, along with liabilities (like myself through college loans) and understand how to manage all those finances so you break even on a monthly basis

    Course highlights:

Highlights include learning and preparing financial sheets through income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give is to allow for a lot of out of class time to complete assignments and to understand the material. It's like a math course to where you must practice the material on a regular basis. Everything builds on each other so don't fall behind, always stay ahead and remember to ask a question every time your confused, trust me its a good thing to ask questions.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Kirch was an extremely helpful professor if you utilized him as a resource. However, the class itself was incredibly difficult and your grade was largely affected by the three exams offered throughout the semester. As someone who is not pursuing a career that is remotely related to accounting, this class was difficult.

    Course highlights:

Basic accounting principles, income and balance statements, ROA and ROI

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study and then study some more. Find a group of students you can meet with outside of class for help and go to the tutoring SI sessions.
