    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are comfortable discussing theories and really wrapping your brain around them. The idea of deviance is far more than one might initially think, and this course gives so many explanations for why people act or why we label them that way and it is incredibly interesting and eye opening.

    Course highlights:

I gained a sense of what topics I want to make a part of my major, now knowing that sociology is something that I care about as much as to double major in it. It is extremely expansive and can be applied to every day life, which makes it constantly something I look forward to learning about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is only a few big assignments, so be aware and know how to handle a course surrounded around only a few big grades. Doing the readings really improves the conversations in class and your overall understanding of the material covered.

the professor is very helpful, makes the course fun and actually wants her students to learn.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about how society views what is and is not deviance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to ask for help and just try your best.
