Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. I think that this course is highly valuable and translatable to many different career paths. The ability to express yourself, your thoughts, and your ideas in front of a group of people is incredibly important in preparation for your career and life in general.

    Course highlights:

The course involved discussion about what makes a good speech, preparing and delivering speeches in front of the class, and critiquing the speeches of others. I learned about the characteristics and organization of a good speech, how to prepare for the delivery of a speech, and how to present myself while speaking. Throughout the semester, I became increasingly more confident in myself and my abilities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be nervous! Public speaking may seem scary at first, but it is not as bad as it seems. Do not compare yourself to other students in your class. Focus on improving your own public speaking abilities. Set specific goals for yourself about what you would like to work on. If you want to do well in this course you have to practice. If you do not practice, you will be even more nervous. If you can remember to practice, relax, and work hard, you will find success.
