This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I highly recommend this course. It's tough, and takes no prisoners, but if you work for it, and put the time in you will pass with an incredible understanding of some very difficult content.
Course highlights:
We hit on derivatives, limits, linear appropriation, among other things. Beginning integration towards the end of the semester.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Take the time to really study. Go to office hours whenever possible, and ask every question you can. He won't hold your hand through it, but he really will put the effort to make sure you understand (no matter how painful the process is) if you put the effort in to learn.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This course is often a requirement for many majors but the teacher makes this a very difficult course to understand. The teachers accent was impossible to understand and he does not explain concepts accurately.
Course highlights:
I learned some form tutors to help with tests and homework.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
Find outside help for the course in tutor centers, SI courses, or the math library.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Moves quickly for a somewhat difficult subject matter. Only reason I'm doing well is because I have background in this subject. Regan doesn't do a good job of helping students understand the concepts behind the problems we do.
Course highlights:
Learned a few real life applications but for the most part it was all very empty subject matter because the concepts weren't reinforced
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Try to find other resources to help you if you truly want to understand calculus. You can get a good grade without it but you won't have a good understanding of the material
