    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking an introductory math class to sharpen skills needed to excel at higher learning institutions. Additionally, new-age introductory math classes incorporate the most current methods of math applications, order of operation, and comprehensive inclusion of numerous types of math.

    Course highlights:

Learning about how many different ways math is used in life, academics; as well as in recreation was the highlight of taking introductory math. It was surprising to learn that order of operation for algebraic, solving for missing variables, and addition had changed since the early seventies. Another highlight, discovering that math was used in the beginning of time. When God ordered Noah to build the ark, He ordered him to count out a specific numbers of animals to put in the ark. Prior to the building of the ark, math concepts were used to measure land parcels, count coins, and weigh items. Also, God created math which is evidenced by His application of it when creating the world. He was not satisfied with Adam being one so He created Eve so they would be a couple, as in two.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Taking the course is critical. Allowing adequate study time is key to getting the most out of this or any other class. Pacing myself played an important role because I was able to divide course work into workable portions, and avoid putting myself in a situation where I felt pressured because there was not enough time to produce quality, well thought out responses.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a basic Math course that I am taking. I am not good at Math at all but Professor Oaks does an awesome job of starting from the basics, being an encouragement and being very thorough.

    Course highlights:

I am still taking this course and I'm learning not to allow my fears to overcome me.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be nervous, especially if this course is a requirement for your degree. Take a deep breath and go for it!
