    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You really have to read everything regardless of what they tell you!!!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to take vital signs, insert a catheter, apply personal protective gear, and give medication. You learn about HIPPA and how to provide safe and effective care to patients. I learned how to transfer patients from bed to chair and back, how to teach to walk with cane, crutches, and walker, and how to use a hoyer lift to transfer patients who can not bare any weight or walk. There is a lot of information learned in this course and very little time to learn it.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare prior to each lecture and read, read, read everything including the tables and boxes in each chapter of the book. If your book has a study guide BUY IT!!! Don't memorize the information learn and understand how to apply it.
