Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Prof. doesn't teach well and can be hard to understand. Sometimes gets off topic and forgets to teach topics. He places these topics on test and exams and your very much out if luck.

    Course highlights:

I had a great TA who was mainly our teacher. I learned the course through her and was able to understand and get through the course. She mad class fun but also taught very well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try taking the course with a different prof. If you can't attend office hours and resitation class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Sutherland is able to explain new material well, and also readily answers questions for homework during class. Homework could be heavy some weeks, but we were given multiple days to do the work. For complicated story problems, the professor was able to explain how to do them, answered our questions to further our understanding and what we were solving for, and also drew pictures to aid us. Very helpful!

    Course highlights:

The first test was basically a review of high school trigonometry with story problems, and the second and third tests covered basic calculus, including limits and derivatives.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class, including recitations, and take good handwritten notes. While the professor does tend to go quickly, he almost always posts his work online for you to review for further clarification. If you do not understand something, please go to office hours. Homework is very important, as most of the midterms are based off of it and problems that are done in class.
