    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Turner has a very specific teaching style that did not work well for me. He sticks too close to his powerpoints during lecture and has trouble explaining things in different ways. Also, the tests are WAY harder than his practice problems and what he teaches during class.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about patience and how to rely on other students. One highlight was the friendships I made studying with other classmates since going to Turner's office hours for help wasn't great. It was more frustrating going through it alone, so I learned that study groups really do help.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook before class. Even if you're not an expert coming in, having an idea of what will be taught helps so that it doesn't sound like foreign language when the lecture starts. Also find some friends to study with... it makes it a lot less horrible.
