    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am not a big history person in the first place, and it was just a very long class to sit through. If you enjoy history, you would probably enjoy the class more than I did.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot about the holocaust, and both world war I and II

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the quizzes and papers and soon as you get them, they can be time consuming

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Glont is super approachable and friendly, she really wants her students to do well and has good office hours. As a science major it helped having a professor who knew my primary interest wasn't history!

    Course highlights:

We did lots of source evaluation and thesis statements, which was useful for other courses as well. Focused on European history (with looks at trade routes and so on) with a social perspective!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading! It's a lot but you need it to feel like you're getting the lectures!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I think Dr. Magnew had a really great set up for this course, but the implementation of her plan was not carried out appropriately.

    Course highlights:

The final project is an ongoing, semester-long project where you have to search for newspaper articles on a certain geographical region of the world. It would have been a really great project if the professor gave a little more freedom. With the requirements given, it was difficult to learn any useful information.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

check "Rate my Professor" for different options on professors. I think this should have been a really interesting course, but I would have learned more with a different professor.
