    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This professor would go on and on about hockey and sports and he was sometimes hard to understand due to a lisp. Class consisted of furiously copying the lecture slides down and not being able to catch any of the information in time. Expect to write several 5 page papers.

    Course highlights:

We learned about WWI, WWII, and also wars that occurred in other countries.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this professor, do a lot more studying than you would expect to and start the papers early so you have time to get them done.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am not a big history person in the first place, and it was just a very long class to sit through. If you enjoy history, you would probably enjoy the class more than I did.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot about the holocaust, and both world war I and II

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the quizzes and papers and soon as you get them, they can be time consuming

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Glont is super approachable and friendly, she really wants her students to do well and has good office hours. As a science major it helped having a professor who knew my primary interest wasn't history!

    Course highlights:

We did lots of source evaluation and thesis statements, which was useful for other courses as well. Focused on European history (with looks at trade routes and so on) with a social perspective!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading! It's a lot but you need it to feel like you're getting the lectures!
