    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Uses of Accounting Information I for anyone who is part of a business-oriented major even if the class is not required. The course provides an in-depth understanding of how accounting is used for internal and external purposes and how managers ultimately make business decisions from accounting information. The knowledge in the course is very intuitive and easy to comprehend as long as you study each chapter thoroughly.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting aspect of this course was the last chapter which highlighted on the subject of business decisions from accounting information. It was a lot of material to cover and take in but it gave a great outlook on how accounting principles transcends the business world nonetheless.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course always read all of the course material in each chapter and make sure you have a good conceptual understanding before progressing onto the next lesson. There is a lot of writing involved in the course to demonstrate understanding so be prepared to write 500 word essays at least every other week. There are also a couple of hands-on excel-based assignments which require you to perform accounting calculations and derive your own analysis.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

ACC230 is a great way to earn your accounting credits without having to take the course at ASU. Rio Salado allows you to do all of your work online (including tests!)

    Course highlights:

The course is set up in such a way that you must complete trial balances, ledgers, balance sheets, financial statements, etc... One odd thing about this course is that there is a weekly essay (An essay for accounting? Right?) If you choose the 14-week option, the course is not that demanding. Your weekly assignments ate due on Saturdays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There are a lot of resources on the internet (Course Hero specifically) that make this class easy. I do not recommend waiting until Saturday to begin everything because some weeks are more demanding than others.
