    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I have always been interested in Mythology. It's such an amazing concept to learn about the different myths and stories behind every culture. This course definitely supplies a thorough background and understanding to the many myths of the world. Out of all the myths I learned about, Greek mythology was my favorite. It was so much fun to learn about all the different gods, goddesses, and serpents. I thought Artemis the goddess of the hunt, wilderness, animals, chastity, and the moon was very interesting and an empowering female figure to learn about. I ended up doing my final project on her Roman counterpart, Diana. Although Artemis is pretty amazing, the fact that Diana and I share the same name, kind of made it a done deal. Simply, it was too cool to pass up.

    Course highlights:

After taking ENH 251, I gained a good understanding of the many myths of the world. In every lesson, I learned that in each myth there is a form of chaos, supernatural forces, vital lessons and consequences. As I've mentioned earlier, Greek mythology was hands down my favorite of them all. It was very diverse and felt very animated. Overall, I thought it was very interesting to learn how myths tie to the many cultures of the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're a fan of Disney movies or The Avengers, you'll most likely enjoy taking ENH 251. The legend of Hercules, Hades, and Loki are all inspired from mythology. The next time you watch something on TV, go ahead and do some research. You'll find it very fascinating to know that some characters on the screen also exist in ancient myths and tales.
