    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is math heavy and it's best if you learn the reason why something happens instead of just memorizing the material.

    Course highlights:

In this course you can expect to also learn about food chemistry as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you learn and memorize the different math formulas and go over food chemistry material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Kradtap is always available to help when students need it. She is constantly taking suggestions from the class on how to improve her teaching style, and is always available during her office hours. She explains everything in depth, and is always open to answering questions in class, the key is to be sure to ask them!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course, for myself, was going through thermochemistry. In high school, that was definitely the most confusing thing for myself. However, through the resources Dr. Kradtap made available, thermochemistry turned out to be one of my strongest units in the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend using the textbook given, especially going through all the practice problems on a whiteboard or a chalkboard. Don't be afraid to study in advance, even if it's just doing 3 practice problems a day.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Davis is a wonderful teacher, and if you do not quite understand he will stop. I love chemistry because it gives you a sense of how things in the world work.

    Course highlights:

We learned about chemical bonds, exothermic and endothermic reactions, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and don't fall behind.
