    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Professor is very intelligent and offers plenty of office hours, recitation and outside help.

    Course highlights:

    Very challenging tests but I learned enough in the first class to be successful in Organic Chem 2

    Do not memorize, study the mechanisms

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course trains you to literally rewire your brain. You are forced to learn skill and apply it in creative ways. It encompasses both the creative and analytical parts of yours brain. Yes, chemistry is art!

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to reapply theory. I also learned that there is not always one way to an answer.

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Study from the beginning. Learn to understand the material and never simply rely on memory. Seek help!

    Dr. Norris is very helpful and has many resources to help students pass.

    Course highlights:

    You will learn the basics for Organic Chemistry that will prepare you for future endeavors in Biochemistry and Physical Chemistry. You learn everything from nomenclature to mechanisms.
