    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The instructor gives you notes to follow along and fill out but he does not explain the material. You will need to go to supplemental instruction and tutoring to be able to even understand and pass his course.

    Course highlights:

I received a full understanding of how the body is seen from a scientific point of view. Through the way the body uses all the various chemicals we house and the way these chemicals in return influence the mechanisms in our organism.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the notes over a little bit at a time every day. Note cards are a great way to study the material and be able to remember it all. Also, go to the supplemental instruction and attend tutoring.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because although Serra is not everyone's favorite, you will learn a lot. He tries to make what you're learning realavent to your major. Definitely go to the SI tutor sessions if available.

    Course highlights:

This course really sets up a good background for 1506. If you've had high school chemistry, a lot seems like a review but many topics go more in depth. Lab and class align very well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes from the book before class. This will help you see what you think in important without the bias of in class notes. After class you can compare to see what you need to study. Do the online assignments as soon as possible, they take time to do correctly.
