    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend the course because it's something that touches on all aspects of literature. You write many pages in your essays which can be a huge pain, but it really prepares you for English Comp II, along with other courses that will require reading and essays. I also recommend taking this class in your first semester of college, so you can be prepared as early as you can. You also won't fall behind your peers.

    Course highlights:

I learned more literary terms and was able to use them in my papers. I also was able to use the university library to my advantage and get great sources for my paper as well. English Composition I teaches you all of this, and prepares you for future classes in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't like the professor, switch out immediately (preferably at the beginning of the semester), because if you don't, you will likely be tempted to skip class, and that will affect your grade as a whole.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I consider Dr. Clement as a very understanding and intellectual individual. He will give extensions with reason because he understands that unexpected things happen. He put forth effort to expand the way we as a class viewed the world and to ask questions about everything.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Clement assigned four essays to us for the semester. With almost every essay, he had appointments set up for each student to discuss the good qualities of the paper and what the student needed to work on. The student was allowed to edit and improve his/her essay and turn it in at a designated date for an increased grade. This taught me that even though I believe my paper is perfect, I need peer review for outside opinions on it to think outside the box.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Although Dr. Clement is kind, deadlines should always be met. He will not put up with constant procrastinators but is understanding of those who genuinely need assistance. He is always willing to set up appointments for questions about grades and assignments with all of his students.
