    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Mattson is very passionate about all things history; he likes to read up on it for fun! He knows all sorts of interesting facts about almost every subject we cover in his class. He gets excited talking about it, so it always made it fun to learn about it. The material really stuck with me! Also, he is very good about having assignments graded quickly. I knew what I made on my final before 9:00 the evening of the class, and I took it at 7:30!

    Course highlights:

History has never been my greatest subject, however, Dr. Mattson really put it in a perspective in which it would stick. I learned everything from how Lincoln knew the Boothe family before he was assassinated, what exactly happened in the Watergate scandal, and how wonderful of a president Ronald Regan was.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You must take notes! He talks a lot, but it is all good information. Get down what you can! Also, pay attention to the outline. His tests come directly from it! He jumps around on subjects, so it is sometimes hard to keep up with him, but he will always review you on what he talked about in case you missed something.
