Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with Professor Negelein because he teaches from the textbook and makes chemistry easy to learn. He is straight forward with his lectures and always willing to help students especially if you go to his office hours.

    Course highlights:

I gained a good understanding of chemistry 1. The class wasn't easy but, it was completely doable with Professor Negelein.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and do the homework. The homework actually prepares you for the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a great foundation course for health professions! This is a course which makes a student get serious about studying and develop practical study habits that we can use as we continue to pursue such classes to further our health careers.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much in chemistry, from basic structures to balancing equations to reactions. A highlight in a class such as this is the lab class that we take as well. This is a benefit because it is hands - on learning, and although the classes don't go hand in hand, the concepts help cement what we learn in lecture. I have found I really enjoy this kind of class, which is good because from here on out I will have at least one lecture with lab every semester, including summers!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind! Stay up with your notes, and review them regularly. And go approach the teacher with questions if you have any. Don't wait until the end or right before a test. Stay caught up and prepared!
