This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The professor is very knowledgeable about the subject and offers personalized learning for her course during her office hours.
Course highlights:
I have not taken a math course in over 10 years and she took the time to reteach some of the prerequisite math skills in order for me to excel in the class.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Attend every class, missing a class means missing a lesson which is very costly
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Lynn Brown is a great professor and her methods of teaching are easy to understand and grasp. My advice to incoming students is to attend class as much as possible and PAY ATTENTION! While her teaching is easy, the class is tough and you will need to be prepared!
Course highlights:
The homework and exams in this course are worth the same grade wise and this can help you with your grade or blow it. I've learned new and easier methods on solving any math equation thrown at me along with easy ways to remember formulas. The opportunity to work with other students in the class is given and is an exceptional experience and gives help to struggling students by getting to work with classmates.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Do the practice tests and reviews every time. Put extra study time into anything you don't understand especially factoring and fractions. YOU WILL USE THESE CONSTANTLY! You get five tries on the homework and homework and exams are worth the same in grading so do the best you can on homework and try harder on the exams!
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
This course with this professor is very easy to follow. Demuth is very easy to work with, and she is very helpful. If you do not do well in math you will do well in her course.
Course highlights:
I got a nice review of algebra 2 in this class, and I got to see how others could learn this subject from the ground up.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
If you do not understand what you are learning ask questions!
