Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Clifford is an excellent professor. She teaches the material in a way that students can understand. This subject has a lot of math so be prepared to do lots of calculations.

    Course highlights:

In this course you learn about bomb and constant pressure calorimetry, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, spontaneity, acids and bases, titrations, and many other topics! The course build on itself so it is important not to fall behind.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to be prepared to study. This subject will be difficult if you are not prepared to study. There is a lab and lecture component to this corse, both of which will have various assignments for you to complete. Stay on top of your work and all will go well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Chem two is more enjoyable than Chem one as it is easier. Dr. Yip is naturally hilarious and keeps the material intriguing.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course just comes from learning the material in an unique environment due to Dr. Yip's ways of teaching. Throughout the course it is not rare to find yourself hating your life, but he keeps the class engaged to the best of his ability which helps with understanding new concepts. Without Dr. Yip the chemistry program would not be as successful.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My only advice is to look over the material every night and keep challenging yourself with practice problems. The course has a lot of extra credit built into it so do not feel discouraged if you don't do so well on the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The biggest challenge of this course was the volume of material, the pace of the course, and the lack of clarity surrounding the laboratory. There is simply not enough time to cover the material required. The online homework was tedious as was writing the lab reports.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were just the general introduction to chemistry concepts. Also, the laboratory was a good opportunity to apply lessons learned in class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work in groups when solving the online homework. It is mostly a waste of time. Get through the homework asap. Old exams are available in the lab tutoring room and online on d2l. Focus your time on the old exams because 100% of the questions are recycled.
