    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In all honesty, I wasn't looking forward to taking this class. Boy, did that change after we got into the curriculum! Jeff McMillon is a very fun and engaging professor who presents the materials in ways that are entertaining and memorable, and he creates a laid-back atmosphere in which to learn.

    Course highlights:

BIBL 1112-03 covers the Gospel as told in the book of Matthew, comparing it to the other books of the Synoptic Gospel. The course requires readings between class as homework, but the segments assigned are never terribly long and are discussed in class the following meeting. By the end of the course, I had pieced together a timeline of stories from the Bible that I grew up learning and the events that occurred in between.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It certainly helps to stay on top of your readings. At the beginning of each class period, there is a brief, 5-or-less question quiz over the most recent reading (which are usually incredibly easy).

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a required course so you have to take it either way. I do enjoy his class though. John Harrison is a great professor, but I didn't like one of the texts required for that class.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the book of Matthew. We also read Simply Jesus by N.T. Wright, but I really dislike that book. I was new to the bible, but this course teaches a lot about it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and bible chapter! He gives weekly quizzes on it.
