Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because the professor helped us become good speakers.

    Course highlights:

Starting the course I was very shy and never talked in front of people, but by the end of the class I was good at talking in front of people.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice in front of people before you give your speech.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great introduction course because it helps get over your nerves of public speaking. Professor Shelton does a great job giving constructive criticism and provides a guideline of how to present your speech and how to present it well. This is also a required course to graduate, so I decided to take it concurrently so I would not have to present my speeches in front of 500 other students!

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to write formally and in a collegiate manner. I have found ways to express my ideas like never before thanks to Professor Shelton. I appreciate all he does for our class and makes it hard enough to learn and improve our public speaking skills, but easy enough to where it is almost impossible to fail.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all of the materials given to you and actually study for exams. Really try to learn and understand how to successfully present a speech. Listen during lectures, Professors always give tips and tricks on how to perfect your speech. Also really listen to others speeches, you may actually learn something interesting and it could show you what to do or what not to do.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course! At the beginning it was a little scary getting up in front of people and speaking, but as the course continued it got so much easier!

    Course highlights:

I loved seeing how everyone's public speaking ability grew within the class period. Everyone improved tremendously and it was awesome to be able to notice that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be confident even if you aren't and it will help you tremendously!! It's not as scary as it seems and everyone in your class will be encouraging because they feel the same way about public speaking as you!
