    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class material was presented in a confusing manner. The syllabus was not followed and their were not any explanations over what would be on the tests. When asked what would be on the test, we were told we needed to know everything.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were that you do a lot of hands on assignments in the labs. You will perform almost every lab that you will be tested over. You can learn a lot about organisms if you put forth your own effort to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the practice quizzes religiously. The questions on there will be the exact questions on the test, with the exception of Exam 2. Speaking of exam 2, it is extremely difficult. Your best shot would be to go over the six page study guide, but I'm not even sure if that would be helpful.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class! Although, you must be ready to show up to class, take notes, and study a couple hours a day to keep up with all the material. This is not an easy "A" class. If you do not understand something ask questions. Professor Enis is very knowledgeable and will help you the best he can.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the whole semester was when lab began. Instantly you are introduced about lab safety, because in a microbiology lab you have to treat the microorganisms with respect. Some microorganisms are contagious and can harm you and your fellow lab partners. One technique that I found enjoyable was called the streak plate technique. This technique consisted of the inoculation of a microorganism onto a petri dish. You would gently apply the microorganism in four different quadrants on that petri dish and place them in a incubator for growth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering taking this course is to be sure to pay attention in lecture, and to take the quizzes Professor Enis posts on Blackboard. The information on the powerpoints and quizzes is what make up the tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for any pre nursing student, though some of the topics are not studied in nursing school its still a good class. When taking this course make sure to do some deep digging into the professors to make sure you are making the best choice.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course was learning deep into antibiotics and learning about how antibiotics can affects the human body.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If taking this course with professor enis as a honors student really think about taking less class or another professor.
