    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She knows her stuff! Very engaging and passionate teaching style. Heavy on the essay tests. But you gotta know what you're learning.

    Course highlights:

I learned details as well as larger events throughout history. My favorite topic was learning about how Ellis Island immigrants lived.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to pay attention! She will make you respect history even if you don't already love it.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is the best way to understand the recent years of America.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better knowledge of history and why America is the way it is today. I help others with understanding Tulsa's history and I feel more comfortable with sharing this knowledge because they're written facts.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes! It's a lecture- heavy class and he allows open note tests and quizzes, which is really great!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this course as a concurrent class in high school trying to get college credits. This History class was unlike others i had been in. Mainly because I was the teacher. It was my responsibility to follow what the Professor assigned and keep up with the material. There was a good amount of reading to do and lots of information, but it is all very good information that could be useful later on in life.

    Course highlights:

This course was a difficult course. The course included many minor details a normal high school history class would exclude. As far as what i learned I learned more in one semester than i have in a full year of a high school class. The course really makes you have to dig in and get personal with material if you want to know it, and that is why i learned many specific details about the civil war and all the causes of that war.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study and read. Don't be afraid the repeat learning the information because the exams are very detailed and will test your true knowledge.
