    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a required class for all science majors; however, it is definitely one of the hardest offered at USAO. At three times a week for an hour a piece and homework every day, it can get pretty crazy. Tests are very difficult, and I have been told its a miracle to get out with a B. There is a lab required, it is once a week for three hours. This required 3-4 hours out of every sunday night to prepare for.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, I learned the basics of biology. This class set me up for success by teaching me not only the content I needed to know, but also how to approach all my other classes as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Print out the lecture notes, and only write down what they say that's not on the notes. If chalk touches chalkboard, write it down. Drawings, diagrams, vocab- everything. Show up every day and they won't completely destroy you.

    Hours per week:

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study. In detail. Don't be afraid to ask about things you don't understand before the tests.
