    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it covers and explains words and terms we use regularly, but can often get them confused and used in the wrong place and at the wrong times.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the instructor and his vast knowledge of essay writing and advice. He had a way getting new knowledge to stick and how to develop ways to recall certain terms and ways of writing effectively.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Being present in class and participating as much as possible. I would also recommend asking questions whenever a student doesn't understand something. I would advise the student to use the library resources available to them.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a really tough instructor who expects the most from her students. But the materials are easy, and there are so many resources that are available to help you. If you know how to research this class in a walk in the park, yet if you struggle with it make sure you take advantage of office hours and ask for help.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the way Professor Kelley looked at argument. She taught it as something that everyone does everyday. I was such a new way of looking at that subject that really opened my eyes to the importance of it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of the writing center and have people edit your work. She wants essays to be flawless. So have people read your arguments and try to find the holes in it. Edit and re-edit and do not be afraid to start over if it is not going in the direction you want.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher is very enthusiastic and makes it enjoyable to follow along. While in no way was it an easy class it taught me a great deal more about writing strategies and how to approach argumentative writing.

    Course highlights:

We covered everything concerning writing techniques in order to persuade your audience while at the same time making your work enjoyable and free from fallacies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend reading the textbook ahead (if you can) in order get a general idea of the fallacies. Also, it may be helpful to get your essays done as soon as you can to provide adequate time for revision.
