Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great step into really diving in and understanding the Bible. Not only are we observing the important verses that he assigns us, but we are paying closer attention to the literary context, the passage as a whole, and other crucial factors to assist readers to really understanding the verse. Many controversial issues will be brought up and discussed, but with the help of the professor and many helpful classmates, this course will open the eyes to what it means to be a follower of Christ and walk and understand the meaning of the text.

    Course highlights:

I think one of the best things about this course is that we are constantly discussing what the meaning of confusing passages might mean. We dive into the historical context and what it might have meant back in the time the passage was written and how it might apply to us now. In this class, I learned how to really read what the Scriptures are telling us and not to just read one verse at a time and just assume its meaning, but really look around the text and gather all the information that applies.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure you save all the papers that you write and what he hands back! Jordan (the professor) takes time to really make good comments on the work he hands back so that you can improve yourself. All the papers that you write in this course will eventually help you write the final 12 page paper at the end that is worth one-third of your grade! So be sure to keep all the papers that he hands back, because those will prove to be really useful.
