Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Sociology is an area of study that broadens ones perspective of their role in a complex set of systems established by hundreds of years of rising and falling civilizations. One thing our professor told us is that "sociology takes the familiar and makes it strange", this is incredibly true. Every time I left that class whether I looked to my left or to my right I saw the environments anew in a way that gave me tools to operate within them more effectively.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of the course was learning about Erving Goffman and dramatergical analysis. This part of the course reshaped my perception of identity and clarified some of the conflict I had within myself concerning the different masks I wore for different settings.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed you must have an open yet strategically thinking mindset. Human societies are complex and mysterious but they also have patterns.
