This class was tough.
I would recommend it to those who want to inprove their writing skills in the creative field, as the course name entitles. Although even if they are not in any major requiring the course, it was still a breather from having to write formally in my other major-required courses; it gave me the liberty to break some writing rules, which was exciting!
The highlights of this course were the workshops. After writing a poem and the personal or fiction essays, the class was instructed to discuss them with another. For poetry, we were In small groups, which allowed not only for feedback from three other different people, but to bond with our group members as we wrote about personal topics and had to explain them if we hadn't made it clear enough. As for the two required essays, we discussed them as a class, which worked similar to a debate, but more calmer! The proffesor ensured that the class remained respectful to one another, which made a cool and safe environment.

Advice for students:
I would advise them to actually read the assigned readings as they are actually helpful. I would also advise them to be prepared to print 26 copies of one of the 6-9 page essays that are required, and to print them before the due date since the professor does not accept late work.
