    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend this course as this course is very well designed to teach student about architecture. This includes simple and superscalar architecture and its performance. This also includes hazards as well as avoiding it with forwarding.

    Course highlights:

    Performance, throughput, Memory management. Architecture and its related issues. Hazards and forwarding.

    9-11 hours

    Its a very good course for knowledge on system level.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Prof. Hyeran Jeon is very helpful to the students. She is having a good industrial experience and so, she gives her best teaching this course. Overall, her assignments are very easy to score full points. However, her midterms and final exams involves some tricky questions which student may find difficult to answer. Just attempt each and every question and she checks the logic and concepts even if answers are wrong.

    Course highlights:

    Course structure comprises of Instruction Set Architecture, Memory hierarchy, instruction-level parallelism, etc. Overall the subject is theoretical and conceptual and involves some of the calculations. No project work involved in this course. However, some semester involved survey papers under Hyeran Jeon. In turn, you will get a thorough knowledge of the inside architecture and how the instructions are being executed in a CPU.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Practice and solve as much problems as you can. For midterms and finals, cover the slides, assignments as well as different online problems available related to the topic. Don;t try to cram, just think according to the logic and answer and it won't be difficult.
