Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

French is easy to pick up if you are an English speaker, for there are many words shared between the languages. Besides ease, I believe that no other language sounds as beautiful.

    Course highlights:

Learning another language can be difficult. However, learning French improves one's understanding of the English language even more. Furthermore, the syntax and usages of little words such as "that" and "there" will enlighten you when you go back to writing sentences in English. Also, you can talk to your French buddies and your English buddies will have no idea what you're saying. It's like a secret verbal handshake!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Talk in French as much as you can inside and outside the classroom. I believe that all French classrooms should be full immersion; if one does not know how to say something in French, then have them ask: "est-ce que je peux parler un peut en anglais?" More importantly, never use a translator software, it will do more harm than good. Finally, if one is a fan of a television show or a certain video game, have them toggle the program language to French or French subtitles. However, the most important advice is to have fun learning to speak all over again.
