This class was tough.
Tomcal is a very outgoing and friendly person, but his teaching style doesn't necessarily emphasize the most important things in the class. It's easy for him to go off on a tangent, so a lot of lecture time has been wasted. Also, he doesn't give us enough time for the quizzes, so they are a point of stress in this course.
The highlights of this course include activity based costing and different methods of costing analysis. I learned about the different ways that a company can allocate its product cost among its different departments or products and also how these methods can be evaluated in order to determine which one maximizes profits the best.

Advice for students:
You should definitely not skip out on reading the book and doing all the assigned exercises even if they're not graded. As with any other accounting course, repetition is key.
