Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would take this course because it is a great broad overview of what the International Studies major has to offer. The course touches of topics that stretch from the environment to human rights around the world. The course provides information about real world and real time issues, as well as solutions to those issued.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights for me included the week focused on international environmental issues, which inspired my major and professional concentration. I also loved how the professor began the course with a story of his research abroad and how almost all international issues are connected, no matter what subject they may be. For example human rights, the environment, and tourism all have something in common.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you always do the readings before class. Also spend a good amount of thoughtful research for your research papers. Attend lecture of course and always be engaged with the material!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I found this class to be very interesting. The professor was pretty good and funny. There wasn't a lot of homework.

    Course highlights:

The subject matter was the highlight of the course because learning about different issues that affect the world is very interesting. I learned about the impact of tourism, the drug trade, and international disasters.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To do well, show up for class every time. Also, take notes on the powerpoint slides because the information will show up on the test. Pay special attention to the statistics and numbers.
