    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    This class is definitely a very interesting class, and I believe that anyone that is going to start a family should be forced to take it first. It really opens your eyes towards what kind of parents are out there, along with what types of people in the world. You learn such amazing life lessons and it really makes you realize how your parenting styles and life experiences will truly affect the person you grow to become.

    Course highlights:

    I think that this course really taught amazing empathy and understanding of what make a person who they are. You may think a person is rude or selfish, but it truly could be a result of bad parenting or neglect from a young age. It made me rethink my relationships and become more understanding towards what others go through rather than just judging a book by its cover.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    The reading are very important, and the homework is one weekly written assignment on canvas which is very interesting and easy to do. This class will be extremely important towards evolving as a person, and it is a requirement towards FHS majors or it is considered an elective.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I would highly recommend this course because it is a great way to become more familiar with family and societal issues that are going on in the United States including substance abuse, the criminal justice system, and foster care.

    Course highlights:

    In this course, I learned about many fascinating subjects including the ecological model, risk and protective factors, attachment, parenting styles, the child protective services, foster care, mental illness, and social norms and human behavior.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    I would tell students to go to class, ask questions in class, read the books and take notes on them, go to office hours if you have questions, and just remember to study hard for the exams.
