Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The best part of this course was the professor. Tomlin is a teacher you can tell really enjoys his job, and he is so passionate about Linguistics it's inspiring. It was one of the few classes I always enjoyed going too.

    Course highlights:

This course was a broad overview of Linguistics so we got to understand the many different fields and subjects related to linguistics. We studied heavily the subjects of phonetics, phonemics and morphology. My favorite subject was child language acquisition; it's the study of how infants and toddlers acquire their first language.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to future student would be, of course, not to wait to the last minuet to do the homework. I'd also recommend going to office hours and the study sessions Tomlin holds for the students because they are very informative.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it to those students that do not settle for the simple answers and would love to explore the topic some more!

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about language and how empowering it is. Language is very complex and beautiful like that of a cherry blossom tree. It is so intricate and delicate, it was a privileged learning about how it is formed and the thought process involved.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't understand a concept definitely ask the teacher since most of it comes hand in hand.
