    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only was the instructor knowledgeable about the subject and available for the students, but this course used group projects to build each student’s interpersonal skills. Individuals were given the opportunity to succeed by demonstrating their ability to work well with others, and grades were based on the student’s self-evaluation.

    Course highlights:

In the world of business, everything is built on good communication. But managers are always dealing with people from different cultures with different worldviews, customs, and beliefs. Through the power of emotional intelligence and the rhetorical triangle, this course equips students to empathize with others and turn tenuous relationships into strong business connections.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Any students interested in this course should know that group projects, team evaluations, and self-reflection are important in this class. Don’t worry, though: with a little time and effort, you can succeed beyond your wildest expectations. It is a relief not to have a textbook or complicated formulas, but don’t slack off--your team’s business proposal is worth more than half of your grade!
