Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I almost always feel safe on campus and I'm out after dark most nights. There of course are things that happen, but for the most part I feel safe and know that there are lots of resources available.I really like UO! It was one of my top schools and I am very happy I chose it. It has the small campus feel within a large school and is situated in the beautiful Willamette Valley.
I live in Global Scholars Hall which is the nicest and newest dorm on campus, so I am probably pretty biased, but I love the dorms and the community thats been created on my floorI am not a fan of Greek Life at all, but if it's your thing the UO definitely has it. Generally, I'd say that unless you're in a fraternity or sorority, you are probably generally annoyed by all things Greek.

Advice for students:
I'm not super into watching sports, so I actually don't know a whole lot about it, but people love the ducks and I've heard the football and basketball games are hype. I do love to play sports and the intramural and club sports at UO are great and super easy and fun to get involved in! It's a fantastic way to make friends.
