Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ever feel like you're trapped in the American mindset when you know that the world has such an immense amount more to offer? That's how I felt, but I seriously had my eyes opened to a whole new world when I took German. I know I'm not the only one who wants to experience this cultural freedom.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to speak the basics of the language, but I also learned the major changes and differences that are present in everyday life overseas. For instance, It's actually rude in some areas of Germany to tip the waiter/waitress a large tip because it's almost as if you're insulting their worth. Also, I learned that there are 3 genders in the language. And learning when to use which is a guessing game! Example: Fork (in German) is Neutral, Spoon is feminine, and Knife is masculine!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this class just to take it. There's plenty of other classes out there for that. This class is meant to be delved into. Make the most of it by putting it into your everyday life; makes learning it easier and much more enjoyable.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend this course as it was fun and I learned so much.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the professor, Jacob. He is a hilarious person and does his best to make the class fun and topical. If you like a lot of structure and predictability when it comes to weekly assignments and quizzes, this class is perfect. There are no surprises and each student always knows what is expected of them and when it is due.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

It is important to attend tis class and participate as much as you can. The more you speak the language out loud to the professor, the more it will be engrained in your head and your pronunciation will improv. Jacob is nit intimidating at all so take advantage of the fact that he loves to help.
