Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was amazing. My professor always made herself available for the class and was very explicit on the expectations of the course. It's great to help any student get past their public speaking fears.

    Course highlights:

My biggest highlight was during a lecture where all the recitation instructures came to demonstrate a speech we would have to give and spoke about themselves. You got to see them feel extremely confident, yet also nervous and helped me feel better about not knowing how to talk in front of others well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

PREPARE YOUR SPEECH EARLY. I made the mistake a couple of times writing my speech the night before it was due, and that impacted my grade. It isn't too difficult to even prepare an outline for a speech to finish later. BE PROACTIVE!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would generally recommend this class to incoming freshmen because of the fact that it's required for most people to take. I'd say just get it over with right away, it's not a terribly difficult class as long as you write your speeches well.

    Course highlights:

A main highlight of this course is that you get to listen to plenty of different viewpoints and learn about a multitude of different subjects from all your classmates. Similarly, if you're not sure what to write you can often get a speaking date for the 2nd or 3rd day of speeches and get a better understanding of whats expected of you for your own speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You will have to follow the online outlines exactly, I figured that as long as I went along with it loosely I would be fine, but your TA will gouge you for not formatting the outline correctly and you'll even lose points for not using note cards when you present.
