    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you're in the college of liberal arts and need an additional core class, I highly recommend this one! It was fun, and incredibly fulfilling; you collaborate a lot with other students and critique each others' work and really learn from your peers in the doing so. Everybody is at a different level in poetry, but we collaborate as a class to write our best material.

    Course highlights:

It was healing--writing truly does help you de-stress. Winter term can be a little dreary and seem to drag on, but this class really helped give me a pick-me-up when it did feel like that. It was exciting to know that my homework was being creative and pulling from my experience in an efficient, yet fluid and beautiful way. It truly challenges you, and who knows, maybe poetry will become your next de-stresser!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I took the online version so if you do that, be sure to pay attention to the lectures--take advantage of the fact that you can rewind the lectures to write down everything the professor says. Also, this class is the kind of class where you want to let your guard down and immerse yourself in it--the more you fascinated and curious you are, the easier it'll be!
