Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a backbone to many different science majors, and helps create a basic understanding of chemistry as well as how to apply math to to other science courses. Mastering the topics taught in this course, makes future science courses (especially chemistry) so much easier to understand. It also provides students with many different study methods to help students find one that works for them in both that class, and other classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to convert numbers to different units, and how to calculate how many photons are in a laser beam that's shot out at a certain frequency and mass. I also learned how to read and use the periodic table and understand the trends in the periodic table (for instance: atomic size and ionization energy).

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material before class and come with questions. The teachers often provide practice tests for each midterm, these practice tests are tests that they have given out within the last three years and provide an excellent reference for what to expect on the test, and how well a student a do on the test. They also provide feedback on what a student needs to study in order to get a higher score on the real exam.
