Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He is an amazing teacher who really cares about his students, even if he only teaches at 8am, take his courses!

    Course highlights:

I gained not only knowledge about the course, but better studying techniques and ways to prepare for exams.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to do the online homework, take notes and study the practice exams from previous years to help give you a general idea of some of the questions that could be asked. Most importantly, ask for help in your recitation if something isn't clicking.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For most science majors the CH 23X series is a requirement and looks better on transcripts than the 100 series. I would recommend this course because if you can take this with Dr. Nafshun you will actually learn the material than if you took it with a GTA.

    Course highlights:

I gained valuable general chemistry knowledge that will help further my education through the other chemistry series I will have to take throughout my college education. I am taking organic chemistry next year and we learned some basic organic chemistry like naming and reactions that will help me in my next course. I really like the naming sections and the little bit of nuclear chemistry that we learned.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This was my hardest class my freshman year and you really need to put in your all for this course. You need to study more than you think you do. You need to study more in advance for the exams than you think you do. You need to do more practice than you think you do. You should go into office hours and the mole hole and sign up for Supplemental Instruction tables to get the extra help or clarify questions that you had in lecture. You have to put in your all to get the best grade possible.
