    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course, while seeming to have a specific focus, really ties in a lot of basic knowledge regarding ecology and chemistry to increase the students' understanding of an extremely important part of our environment.

    Course highlights:

While I learned a lot of interesting concepts, the highlight of this course was how hands on and action driven it was. We were doing relevant experiments in each lab section, and were all required to take part in a community project regarding soil, in order to see the real life applications of what we were learning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Memorizing the basic terminology early on will really be to your advantage, the textbook isn't really required, and don't leave your group project stuff until last minute.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course first, because it satisfies the bacc core requirement for either your physical/biological science, and it is not too challenging like your typical physics, chemistry or biology class. The professor is very passionate about this topic and wants to ensure that each student succeeds, If you fail the first midterm he'll tell you to go see him during office hours so that you can come up with an action plan so you can still get an A in the class. Lectures are very high tempo and upbeat and the labs are pretty easy.

    Course highlights:

You learn the basics of Soil Science. No background knowledge is expected, which makes it really nice! You learn about really how critical the soil is to our existence, different types of soil, how different types of soil are used for different usages. Sounds quite boring, but the professor does a great job making this class worth while!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every lecture, they're short lectures, not too many notes to take each lecture and you'll have all of the information needed for the tests if you don't miss any lectures.
