Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me so much about mental disorders and what is considered abnormal. This class gave me a great structural understanding of what my degree would be about, and it prepared me well for my future classes. The professor is also very kind and thorough. I have since taken three classes with her and loved each one.

    Course highlights:

This class focuses on abnormal conditions such as Autism, Depression, PTSD, and substance abusive. This course focuses heavily on DSM-4 definitions and the way disorders are affected by culture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and create flashcards for the disorders. Quiz yourself over and over to learn the disorders and how culture affects them.

This is wonderful class that helps Psychology students learn about some of the more serious and abnormal disorders like schizophrenia or Bipolar disorder (like my brother has).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Remember to read the textbook.
