    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to grow as a technical writer, or develop their writing skills overall. This class specifically focuses on aspects of writing which are many times overlooked in other courses, such as how to write an abstract or how to identify informative writing. Almost every career path will use technical writing, or desire someone who knows how to professionally write in order to efficiently provide information to whatever field they are working for.

    Course highlights:

You writing WILL improve from this course! The first paper can be a little rough because technical writing is so different from other writing forms. However, once you know what your professor is looking for it will be easier to write your next papers and improve on subjects you were once unfamiliar with.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is no easy A. You have to work hard for whatever grade you are trying to earn but you will gain valuable life skills from this class. Technical writing is not just for English Majors or Writers. Being able to professionally write is needed for scholarships, internships, job applications, and advancements in your field. Those who can communicate clearly and efficiently are much more likely to be noticed than their peers or coworkers. Work hard in this course because it gives you essential life skills in order to advance and communicate your personal needs to supervisors.
