This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Dan Rockwell was an amazing teacher. In fact, I got an email at the end of the course because he was being considered for a promotion to the head of the math department, which he got. In all, even though the class became difficult, Rockwell was a great resource.
Course highlights:
Being able to go to Dan's office hours was extremely helpful.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Go to office hours, go to every lecture, and be sure to know what the gradient is.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This was interesting and I learned a lot from the class. The teacher was great.
Course highlights:
Learn about 3d equations and functions, and other coordinate systems
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Study early and ask questions but other than that the course is intuitive.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The teacher cares about his students, and the TA's are always willing to help! They want nothing more than for you to succeed.
Course highlights:
I took Calculus III at a different institution, but this course went more in depth with things we touched on in Calc III. It was fantastic to get a deeper understanding of vectors and learning how to integrate in polar and spherical coordinates.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
utilize your TA! they want to help! Some things they know you aren't going to get right away, so don't be shy or ever feel like an idiot for going to talk to them.
