    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This is my favorite class I have taken. While it is a rigorous course, Kevin makes it very enjoyable. The exams are fair but do test your knowledge of the topics; if you study the highlights, you'll be fine.

    Course highlights:

    Kevin's attention to detail. If the class was having a hard time grasping a concept, Kevin would approach the topic from another angle to make sure that everyone understood. On slow days, he would break up the lecture with jokes to keep the class engaged.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Stick to the highlights and you'll be fine. To get an idea of what the exams will be like, look through the free textbook that Kevin wrote; near the end, there should be practice questions that are very similar to what you should expect to see on the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I recommend this course because of the great chapters that explore the mechanisms that occur within our body. It is amazing to discover that enzymes, proteins, and cycles are some of the samll secret agents we don't get to see but they protect the balance in the body. The professor is a passionate man who understands the level of difficulty and brings joy to the class with jokes and breaks down each chapter.

    Course highlights:

    I learned the citric acid cycle, the glycolysis cycle and how proteins are formed within the body. In glycolysis,, 2 ATPs are needed to activate glucose and 2 ATPs per glucose are produced in gylcolysis. Protein structure is formed by DNA replication with some helpers such as helicase, DNA Polymerase, primase and ligase.

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    Study daily and review notes. He gives you videos to review and that will be a great study tool. If there is any extra videos, review them and study them. Use note cards to review during the day. If you use handwritten notes, use color to emphasis important terms and figures. Memorize the pathway of glycolysis.
